Here are a few things you may not have known about the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games...
*The main restaurant in the Olympic village served 48,000 meals every day of the games
*There was 1800 house keeping staff keeping the village spick and span
*There were 52,000 bed sheets, 163,000 towels and 370,000 toilet rolls - enough to stretch for 15,000kms
*The linen alone weighed 825,000 kilos and would've taken the average family of four with eight loads of washing per week 264 years to wash
*The towels stacked on top of each other would reach a height three times that of Mt Kosciuszko
*The beds were made 396,000 times throughout the games - equivalent to 271 years of bed making for a family of four
*The village took 8 million man hours to build
*Using 20 million bricks
